Daily 1: The Great Exhibition

It’s a glorious day for the Mushroom Kingdom! Peace talks with Bowser’s Kingdom have gone wonderfully as of late, and the two kingdoms, in honor of their new friendship, have elected to have an exhibition! Envoys, wizards, scientists, and ambassadors from across the land have flocked to Peach’s Castle, eager to present their technological and magical advancements to the Princess herself. The streets of Toad Town are filled to the brim with throngs of tourists marveling at wild and wacky inventions on display.

(I mean just look at this. What a turn out!)

You could spend all day enjoying the sights and sounds of the town, but you’ve been personally invited to experience the Main Event of the Grand Exhibition: whatever the hell Prof. E. Gadd has cooked up! The bespeckled and eccentric professor has been cooped up in the castle for the last few months, claiming he’s found a new power source that will change EVERYTHING. This sounds like a perfect opportunity to schmooze with some important people, “borrow” a few treasures from the royal vault, or cause mayhem (and everything in between).

Regardless, your small group of (probably) excited attendees are ushered into the castle’s courtyard, where there is a nice catering table set up with food from across the globe. Gazing around you spot several familiar faces; a stout older looking Toad with a mustache; a few emissaries from the BeanBean Kingdom; and…is that Bowser talking with Mario and Luigi!? Oh this has to be good.

Feel free to explore at your will. The maps will be updated in more detail once locations have been explored.

"So uhhhh what's up? I'm gonna go to the bathroom, yup."

(Frank starts to sneak away.)
"Ummm where is the bathroom to be exact?"

One of the Toad Guards by the Castle Gates overhears your question and approaches.

"Ah 'scuse me sir. You'll find a bathroom in your guest room in the southwest area of the castle. Just through those doors 'ere."

He motions with his spear, pointing at the doors to your west.

"You can get into your room with a key that was enclosed with your invitation. Should be labeled n' everything. There's a lotta rooms so try not to get lost!"

Marisa floats up to Mario, Luigi and Bowser and begins talking to them

"So like, when did you three start to get along?"

Richie, in a similar fashion to Marisa, also goes over to the mario trio, but he walks instead of floats. He taps Luigi on the shoulder to get his attention. "Hey, gramps. Long time no see."

The Toad's eyes narrow a bit in suspicion.

"Well...I think you can ask Toadsworth over there, he'll probably be able to get you a replacement."

He points again over your shoulder at the mustached Toad you saw when you entered. Said Toad is currently fretting over the temperature of the salad, talking with a chef toad about how the dressing is somehow too hot but the salad itself is too cold? Weird.

The three of them are standing by the walled off area on the right. Bowser is telling some awful dad jokes, while Mario pretends to laugh. Luigi looks off awkwardly, and notices you first.

"O-Oh y-you're floating? Wow! P-Please save me these jokes are terrible. Ah w-well...a few months ago Bowser s-said he was tired of kidnapping the Princess. He wanted to t-try his hand at winning her heart the "new fashioned way". So he s-started trading with the Mushroom Kingdom and well...here we are! The Princess has us keep an eye on him, play tennis and the like."

[Richie reply too lazy to add]

"G-GRAMPS!? D-Do I know you? I'm not that old jeez...I'm the younger brother you know!"

(runs over to the musatched toad he trips the total times of 2, yeah he clumsy.)

"Hey there Toadsworth was it? I need my room Key I kinda lost mine."

You wander over to Peach's Room, eager to...converse with her? But unfortunately she doesn't seem to be here. Judging from the neatness of the bed, she likely has been entertaining guests for the entire day. A few servants mill about, tidying the place up but they pay you no mind.

There's a large painting on the wall, a wardrobe filled with dresses, a small garden in the center of the room, and a large Queen bed against the wall. It seems the Princess doesn't keep much here aside from plants.

The small Toad is dashing between tables, making notes on a small clipboard and muttering to himself. He looks up at you, frowning.

"Oh that's the Fifth missing key today! Can I have your name? I'm very busy so please, make it quick!"

"Oh and- I'm not from round here, I'm an explorer so you'll have to forgive me for not being totally with the tea, you know how it is yeah?"

Hearing one of Bowsers jokes, she isn't sure if she should laugh, cry, or run away.

"Hm. I agree let's get out of here. Could ya show me around, this place is mad large, I'd get lost otherwise."

[Jackie :3 (Bloom/Pollen)]

"Fr- Freddy F- Fazbear... Yup don't look into it to much."

(Frank is sweating if he gets caught then he is good as dead.)

"You're not getting senile already, are ya Gramps? It's me, Richie Pitt, the second greatest ghost hunter there ever was." Richie whispers while nudging Luigi. "I'm aiming for that number one spot you have."

He turns to Marisa and gives her a mini salute. "Let me tag along while your at it." And drops the salute cheerily. "Nice meeting another guest to the party though. I already gave my introduction there, but I'm Richie. What's your name?"
